RYA Senior Instructor Training & Assessment

4 days

Age 18+

Good sailing ability and teaching experience is essential when considering doing this course.

It is compulsory for RYA Instructors to be a personal RYA member.

Senior Instructors are qualified to organise and control group sailing tuition and to supervise and assist instructors. SIs must be confident, competent managers, capable of organising groups of all ages and directing the work of their instructors. Through our course content we aim to equip you with the appropriate skills that will make you successful in your SI role.

An RYA recognised dinghy/keelboat/mulithull training centre must have a current SI as its Principal or chief sailing instructor.

Also note that the price of both courses is the same, however it does not include any accommodation that maybe required.

This can be booked separately and full board accommodation at Cumbrae will incur an additional charge.
