Cruising in Scotland is a very popular activity. With amazing seascapes, landscapes and ever changing skies it is an enchanting environment in which to apply your abilities.
The National centre can help make sure that you can begin these adventures by becoming a Day Skipper allowing log further sea miles and charter yachts.
For yacht owners, sailors and marine professional the RYA yachtmasters syllabus will provide you with the theoretical knowledge, whichyou can later implement on one of our 5 day yachtmaster examination cruises, and gain your full yachtmaster qualification (coastal or offshore)
How to get started:
Registration and information for both courses will be at 7pm on Monday 30th Sept at Largs Sailing Club. Courses start the following week.
Held at Largs Sailing Club these courses run for 20 weeks 7- 9pm over the winter period. The cost of each course is £225 (£215 for Largs SC members) and includes RYA packs.
RYA Day Skipper Shorebased Course runs Mondays 7 - 9pm
This course provides a sound introduction to navigation, chart work and other aspects of boating.
RYA Yachtmaster Coastal / Offshore shorebased course runs Wednesdays 7- 9pm
This course with exams is for more experienced sailors with an understanding of the principles introduced at Day Skipper level.
