sportscotland national centres, Cumbrae and Glenmore Lodge, are once again joining together to host a fantastic weekend of sea kayaking and stand up paddle boarding.

Being held at National Centre Cumbrae, located on the idyllic island of Cumbrae on the west coast provides the opportunity for some great water sports to take place and we have accommodation on site with catering included in your price for the weekend.

Once you’ve arrived you have the choice of many different workshops, both full and half days depending on what you would like to participate in, all delivered by world class coaches such as Calum McNicol, Doug Cooper, Claire Knifton and others.

We also have the incredible Olly Hicks joining us on the Saturday night to tell us about his story and his journey from Greenland to Scotland in a kayak!

Booking Options

Saturday Headline Presentation

Olly Hicks and George Bullard, two modern-day adventurers, completed a journey which took them from Greenland to Scotland in a sea kayak in the Wake of the Finnmen. They covered 1,200 miles in 6 weeks, spending 12 nights at sea paddling by the light of the midnight sun. Olly will be at the 2017 Symposium telling us about this incredible journey.

£195 = Centre accommodation

£165 = Camping on-site

Both options above include breakfast and lunch on both Saturday and Sunday, and an evening meal on the Saturday night + Entry to Olly Hicks Talk.
