Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster Shorebased Evening Classes

Any one interested in participating on our winter evening Coastal Skipper and Yachtmasterr shorebased course should contact the centre 01475 530 757 over the next few days as this class is due to start next week. The Shorebased programme runs for approximately 20 weeks with 10 weeks before Christmas and 10 after. The course will be held  on Wednesday evenings from 7 - 9pm at Largs Sailing Club. The syllabus covers; position fixing, tidal height and stream calculations, meteorology, passage planning and rules of the road among other topics. The syllabus makes some provision for revision of subjects in the Day Skipper Course and ideally candidates will have some experience at this level. The course fee is £210 and this includes the RYA shorebased pack with the charts and exercises that acompanies the course.

We also still have places available on the Day Skipper / Watch leader Shorebased course which will also be run at Largs Sailing Club over the winter but on Monday nights 7 - 9pm
