Nightwatch x 2 Fixed Term Posts, Part- time - 19 hours per week, Salary: £13,996 pa (pro-rata)

The sportscotland National Centre: Cumbrae is currently looking for 2 Nightwatch staff members, to start in January and March 2012.

The Nightwatch role ensures the safety of the centre and its clients during evening hours and provides a high standard of customer care while checking residents into accommodation, assisting with bar work and office support, and being the available overnight member of staff. It is also an excellent way of getting a flying start in the outdoor industry due to the training opportunities it offers. Past employees have used the opportunity to gain NGB qualifications and have then moved on to work as an Instructor.

Although no formal qualifications are required, applicants should ideally have experience of working within a customer-oriented environment and have a keen interest in water sports.

You will be a motivated individual with good communication and interpersonal skills and a pleasant manner. These posts can be very  popular beacuase of the fantastic  training opportunities that they offer, as a member of staff you can look to join the huge range of Cumbrae courses, subject to avavilability, at no cost. The nightwatch post has been used by many in the past as a big step onto the career ladder of working in the outdoors industry. The post offers fantastic opportunities for gaining NGB qualifications while working alongside some of the best instructors in the country
